While our marketplace is available 24/7, the deadline for same-week pickup or delivery is Tuesday at 10:00am.
PRO TIP: We're continuously adding new items to the site in the days leading up to the order deadline as farms let us know what they plan to harvest. For the optimal shopping experience, we recommend placing your Freshlist orders on Sunday, Monday, or Tuesday each week!
In order to keep our unique grocery model sustainable, we require a minimum order size of $25 and charge a $7 delivery fee to help us ensure a high level of customer service.
Love free stuff? We do, too! Orders over $35 automatically receive free delivery, and pickup orders are fee-free.
Unlike traditional grocery stores with piles of produce waiting for a home, many of our products are harvested- or made-to-order each week, so it takes a little longer to curate everything for you. We promise it's worth the wait as we work to get you the freshest ingredients possible without unnecessary food waste!
It doesn't happen often, but sometimes we aren't able to fulfill all of the items in your order due to changes in farmer availability or produce quality.
If we aren't able to include an item in your box as ordered, we'll be sure to reach out right away and let you know. Sometimes we can offer a similar item as a substitute, but if we can't source an alternative that works for you, we'll refund your card for the missing item(s).
We offer delivery to the following zip codes:
28204, 28205 (Friday afternoon)
28203, 28207, 28209, 28211 (Saturday morning)
If your address is outside of our delivery area, please reach out! We are working to expand our delivery service throughout the greater Charlotte area, and we're happy to add you to our interest list.
We currently offer delivery and pickup on Fridays and Saturdays. The exact time depends on your delivery route or pickup location hours:
28204, 28205 Delivery - Fridays from 2:00-6:00p

No, our delivery drivers will leave your box for you to bring in when you get home. While we package your order to keep everything as fresh as possible, we recommend that you plan to bring your order inside as soon as you can to guarantee freshness.
We get it! Life gets busy and sometimes it just slips your mind. While we can't guarantee that your order will be available for pickup outside of the designated hours, our pickup location partners will usually keep your box refrigerated until you can come get it. Just let us know and we'll be happy to connect with the relevant location and help you find your order.
TL;DR - Some items are USDA Certified Organic, but not all of them. If you prefer to purchase only organic produce, look for the "organic" label in the product title. Open to learning more about organic certifications? Keep reading!
Many of the small and mid-size farms we work with use integrated pest management production methods similar to USDA Certified Organic guidelines, but are not large enough for the official certification process to be viable financially. Further, we work with several farmers who use a “beyond organic” regenerative approach, and feel that the USDA Certified Organic program doesn’t go far enough to exclude fertilizers, fungicides, pesticides, and insecticides that they prefer not to introduce to their farms.
While there are many nuances to each individual farmer’s growing practices, we've created a labeling system to help you quickly understand the relevant growing method for each item on our marketplace:
Items which are from USDA Certified Organic Farms are noted as “Organic” in the product name. These items are always non-GMO within USDA Organic guidelines. We have three main farms that are USDA Certified Organic: Windcrest Organics, Crescent Farms, and Wild Hope Farm.
Items which are not certified organic but are grown using similar methods are noted as “No Spray” in the product name. Most of these items will be non-GMO, but this can vary on a case by case basis. Some farms to look for here are: Bell's Best, Boy & Girl Farm, Harmony Ridge Farm, Street Fare Farm, Mai's Farm, Dogwood Meadows Farm, Tega Hills Farm, Fair Share Farm, DabHar Farm, Honeytree Farm, Urban Gourmet Farm, and Soulshine Organics.
Items which don’t have either of these designations may be grown using conventional methods, or grown by farmers who use a mix of methods such that we can’t guarantee whether an individual item is “No Spray.” Again, most of these items are non-GMO but that varies on a case by case basis. Some farms which fall into this category are: Barbee Farms, Bush-N-Vine, Correll Farms, Cotton Hills Farm, Smith Farm, Stepp's Berries, Perez Farm, and Lively Orchards.
Currently we are not able to take any of the packing materials back since we aren’t able to sanitize them, but we absolutely recommend reusing them at home if you can.
If you aren't able to reuse the packing materials that came with your order, please dispose of them responsibly by recycling cardboard boxes and egg cartons, aluminum cans, glass bottles, and plastic jugs with a neck. If you use a composting service like Crown Town Compost, they can also compost the produce bags and salad clamshells you may receive with some items - look for a label before dropping them in your bin.
Prefer to go box-less? We are currently running a pilot test of a new box-less fulfillment system for Freshlist HQ pickup customers only. Drop us a line to learn more and see if it's a good fit for you!
