We have an important update to share: after much reflection, we’ve made the difficult decision to pause our Direct-to-Consumer program.
This was not an easy choice, but it allows us to simplify operations and focus our energy where we can make the greatest impact—supporting local farmers, strengthening wholesale and community partnerships, and laying the foundation for future consumer offerings.
We want to take this opportunity to thank you for being such an important part of the Freshlist community. Because of you, we’ve been able to support over 200 farmers, food makers, and small businesses across North and South Carolina. Every order you placed made a difference: 71% of your purchase dollars went directly to growers, and 97% stayed right here in North Carolina.
Our farm partners are located within 150 miles of Charlotte, reducing food miles, lowering emissions, and minimizing environmental impact—all while strengthening our local food economy. Your support has nourished more than just your table; it has nourished our entire region. 💚
Although this program is on pause, Freshlist remains committed to building a more sustainable, equitable, and resilient food system. We encourage you to continue supporting local farmers, food makers, and small businesses in the months ahead, and we look forward to sharing updates on what comes next.
With gratitude, 🥕
Alex, Andy, Anthony, Burke, Carolyn, Dani, Eric, Erin, Gigi, Jesse, Matt, & Shelby
